Two Concerts, One Debut Season

This Fall, the NYC Otaku Choir launches with not one but two unique performances. Each concert offers a different way to experience the music that inspired the creation of the choir, from anime and video games to Asian pop and folk traditions.

On Tuesday, October 7 at Rutgers Presbyterian Church, we present Otaku Choir: The First Concert, a debut program focused entirely on the music that brought us together.

On Friday, October 10 at the DiMenna Center for Classical Music, we present Otaku Oratorio: I Got Hit by a Bus and Now My Love Triangle of Friends are RPG Fantasy Heroes, a full production that blends choral music with storytelling and voice acting in a one-of-a-kind performance.

Otaku Oratorio: I Got Hit by a Bus and Now My Love Triangle of Friends are RPG Fantasy Heroes

DiMenna Center for Classical Music

Friday, October 10, 2025 | 7:30 PM

Part anime isekai, part community ritual, and part choral experiment, Otaku Oratorio is the NYC Otaku Choir’s first full production. A story of three friends, a villain, and a mysterious bus unfolds through narration and voice acting, interwoven with choral music from anime, video games, Asian pop, and folk traditions.

This is not a traditional oratorio, and we are not a traditional choir. Performed during New York Comic Con weekend, Otaku Oratorio is a one-of-a-kind concert experience that blurs the line between fandom and performance.

Seating is limited and tickets are a suggested donation.
